To Whine or Wine?

EVERYONE is complaining and whining about the heat this past week but not me. Yes, it's exceptionally warm for so early in the season. Yes, my gorgeous flowers are burning despite frequent watering. Yes, there is no deodorant on the market that helps in these conditions. And yes, our air conditioning bill may require a bank loan.
But we are blessed. We do not live in the tornado belt which has been vicious this year. We are not near any over flowing rivers that are washing away homes. We are not in the hurricane zone. We are in a drought but have no fires like California and Florida. So.... it's hot. I'll take that and some wine! Off to the studio....

Isn't it true that sometimes, the grass isn't greener on the other side of the fence but more dried out and brown? Thinking of the terrible devestation Mother Nature can inflict on some areas, I'm glad to be here on Long Island. We can get hurricanes, but they are rare--mostly, it just rains. Not much to complain about, LOL!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I remember playing with clothespin as a kid, too! Do you remember the one where you stood over a milk bottle and tried to drop clothespins into it? It was almost impossible!

I totally agree with your view point! In fact I just posted something similary myself. Isn't life much more enjoyable when we spend our time focusing on all things good?

I am in Michigan, and it has been extremely hot. We are in the Midwest where tornadoes and flooding are a threat. Fortunately, we have not been touched by either.

Life is good!

I am sitting here watching it get cloudy above my house only to see it go by and rain in Charlotte....They may get the rain, but they also have a huge water main break that is keeping them to just the bare minimum of water service. So, I guess there is something about taking the good with the bad! Love your blog!
