Etsy

There's apparently a great deal of furor going on over at etsy and I'm not really sure what it's all about. Apparently some people are upset about their perception that the rules have changed in the middle of the game. I agree, that's a point to ponder BUT you are on etsy as a source/avenue for you to sell your creations. As long as you follow the rules and behave in a professional adult manner, what's your beef? For one-of-a-kind artists, as most of us are, it is the best resource on the internet to date. Others may be more outspoken, more profane, more daring...so what? Do what you went there to do...sell. Stay out of the forums unless you have a valid question and stop causing trouble. Trouble births trouble. Your creative outlet may have to be released elsewhere if you can't play by the rules. And my vent is over...back to creating!

Hi dear! Yes, that is why I have stepped back a bit... Etsy is such a cool/unique/fab site... The 'uniqueness' of each artist should be able to shine through all the 'mess'....In my opinion... forums should be severly limited to business and art and that is it... my two cents..=)...

MMMMMM - I think I missed something ... I read the forums frequently but missed the "discussions" ... probably for the best. Thanks for visiting my blog. It is fun to "get acquainted" ... I like to check in others blogs and see their creativity. I work in a upscale boutique (just 2-3 times a week) and we have an artist that makes button jewelry; bracelets, rings. She collects antique buttons - thrift stores, friends, all over the work. They are beautiful, all oak and very spendy! Just thought I would share that with you.

Woah! What happened at Etsy? I'm completely in the dark on this one, and I just stopped by the forums today too.

interesting thoughts--being new to etsy, i'm not sure what you mean by rules changing, but i agree that people should just take responsibility for themselves. :-0
