Hazel Allen posted on my IndiePublic page which led me to her page and her site- www.youcraftylot.com After checking it out, I decided to add her site to my list of places to sell and broaden my exposure. It's very easy to navigate and has reasonable charges. It is located in the UK so if you're nervous about overseas shipping...well, don't be! I've done it a bunch of times and have had no problem at all. In fact, my most enthusiastic customers have come from Greece and England, so try it. Hazel also has an etsy shop called DollyDots with adorable cards and fimo figures.

It's Spring! It's Cold!
In the south, the occasion to wear heavy coats, scarves and gloves is rare and short lived. That limits my knitting choices. Heavy sweaters and afghans are out. Mittens and gloves? No! There's just not enough use for them. I decided to try short scarves, often called scarflettes. Now why would I do them now when spring has officially arrived? Well, in the southern hemisphere, autumn has arrived and right behind will be winter. ETSY is an international site and I thought these might appeal to our Aussie friends who may be preparing to bundle up. Two are listed in the shop.
Of course, tonight in South Carolina there is a freeze warning. Bring the plants in and pray for the peaches! Maybe I should keep one of these!

My photos need help....
I love mother of pearl-buttons, discs, buckles, etc. but I find them hard to photograph. The light reflects and shines and absorbs odd colors. I've sold several pieces like this pin and barrette but the colors arent't true.
Here's my latest barrette in the shop but the picture could be/should be better. Anyone have any suggestions? In advance...thanks!

Blech!!!!
Still have the drips and am self medicating to oblivion! Tried an old faithful-NyQuil-and it does knock you out so at least some sleep is being had. Day-Quil doesn't seem to do anything to alleviate the headache.
Off to a concert tonite with DH which will probably put me to sleep but am supportive of my honey's eclectic music taste. It is incredibly rare that he's not working on a Saturday so out we go.
Made this pin the other day...a little cutie, if I do say so! The base button is made from coconut shell.

Flu Flu...fly away!
I thought I was safe from the awful experiences described to me by others who have had the flu this year....operative word "thought". I don't think I have it...yet! Aches, headache, sore throat but no fever. I HAVE to ignore it. I have too much to do. So I have had loads of tea and have taken Airborne, zinc lozenges and aspirin...cross your fingers for me.
Just completed the 2nd of 2 custom orders. I love getting them and knowing this is exactly what the customer wants. The first was a pair of adult neck savers and the 2nd is my Fiesta Mini Purse. Fun colors! I have them in bunches of other colors in the shop.

Spring/Gardening
I soooooo want to get outside and get my hands dirty. Yesterday was gorgeous and I walked around noting all that should be done. I thought today I'd start with the garden clean-up but no way! It is pouring and there's no sign of let-up until tonight.
Here's a shot of part of my plantings from last year.
And here's a new listing for the shop. Bring a bit of the outdoors inside!

IT'S HERE!!!!!
So exciting....the book I contributed to has finally arrived. It's titled (big surprise!) BUTTON! BUTTON! and 2 of my projects have been included. One is on the back cover. I was a bit upset that the 9 o'clock button is off position. It had come off and the publishers re-glued it...off the 9 spot. I have since replaced it. All in all, it is actually thrilling, a word I rarely use, to see your things in print. It's a beautifully done publication and even if I was not a part of it, I would buy it. It will be in the stores in April. They do mention my etsy shop, so that's an additional boost.
