In the south, the occasion to wear heavy coats, scarves and gloves is rare and short lived. That limits my knitting choices. Heavy sweaters and afghans are out. Mittens and gloves? No! There's just not enough use for them. I decided to try short scarves, often called scarflettes. Now why would I do them now when spring has officially arrived? Well, in the southern hemisphere, autumn has arrived and right behind will be winter. ETSY is an international site and I thought these might appeal to our Aussie friends who may be preparing to bundle up. Two are listed in the shop.
Of course, tonight in South Carolina there is a freeze warning. Bring the plants in and pray for the peaches! Maybe I should keep one of these!

Hi Barbra! What lovely things you make! I've been having a wander around your blog and can see that you are very talented. Oh how I wish that I was too! Hi, Barbra, thanks for stopping by & for the sweet words. Hope you'll come back again. Oh, I'm loving our spring weather so far too, love to get out & dig in the dirt.
Oh your photos...are you taking pics without the flash? I just got a new camera & am having fun playing with the settings & everyone who does all those neat pics on blogs do not use the flash for the most part. It's harder to keep steady, but will work if you practice with it.

Lovely scarves :)
I don´t think you have less opportunities to knit when you live in south. Summer dresses, skirts, tops, bags, accessories etc, I love those much more than warm jackets and coats :)
Brrr it is still cold here in MI, weird to think it is going to be spring soon and winter on the other side of the world. BRRR
love love love that blur/brown scarflette!!!!
