New Disorder

We all know about and sometimes some of us are afflicted by the alphabet soup of disorders...ADD, ADHD, OCD and on and on.
I have EBBC...Easily Bored By Crafts!
Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE to make things and some genres I have been active in since I was 8, like knitting and crocheting. But I really love making something new and different and if it involves upcycling, recycling, repurposing, all the better. I rarely can or will make the identical item twice. Because of my EBBC, my shop tends to be an eclectic mix with a bazillion categories (Thank you Zibbet for feeding into my disorder!) that may overlap or over reach. It's hard to pinpoint me in a 4-5 word description to fill in those blanks about what I sell. But, hey, this is me! My flightiness also includes a deep love for many materials as well...buttons, yarn, buttons, paper, ribbon, fabric, and oh, did I mention buttons?
I do admire the clean look of shops and booths that are so organized with items made with love but will fall under only one category like card makers, just  knitters or just jewelry.
I have fun making stuff and find it hard to make the same things over and over. Of course, if they're monster sellers, I can reconsider!
Anyway, here are 2 of my new items, one upcycled and one just darn cute!

Anyone else want to join my EBBC support group?!

thank you for putting a term to what I also am afflicted with!!
I have a hard time making the same Toekini twice, with so many great charms, yarns, and beads, and so many combinations of them.
Count me as part of that support group.

I'm in. I have so many ideas of things to do/make. for me, right now, they are just a way too long list of ideas tho. I am almost scared to start for fear of never stopping. But hey, maybe thats not such a bad thing.

And I love your eyeglass cases. you know you could easily make it fit the whole button thing by sewing on a cute button where the velcro closure is..... just a fun thought!

Nicole, since I'm pushing these for Father's Day I thought a button might not work. When I do a 'girl' tie I'd definitely add one. Everything is better with a button!

Yup, you can count me in. Sometimes I think that I have beading A.D.D. I often work on many projects at a time and when I finally do complete a beading project, I will start on another one before spending just a few minutes to attatch the clasp. P.S. I love your recycled tie. Great idea.

Yep, making stuff is good! I'm having a whole bunch of fun supplying the 'Makers' with the 'Makings' because my hands got old and wobbly :>) Turned me in a whole new direction. Love watching what all the creators put together with their very talented hands. You are all so gifted and seem to inspire one another when the Disorder attacks even the most dedicated.

I have it too, Barbra! It's so much fun to make different kinds of things. All of mine are from fabric but they come in all shapes and sizes. There are just so many new projects to try - some turn out great, some don't, but I usually learn something every time :)

I love the term! That is why I say "I love variety". Lots to create, in my head, and not enough time to do them all fast enough.

For sure, for sure! Personally, I LOVE to do ALL kinds of crafts, but have elected to do the one thing that keeps me happiest! I am determined that Grandmother's House will be devoted to the Infant to PreTeens, tho' I would dearly love to share the other things that I am passionate about. Maybe someday, I will do an Attic or "back room" where I can invite you all in to shop for knitted items, recipe jars, wood-worked treasures......and wish as I might, I cannot be your EBBC President.........because alas, I am NOT ebbc-challenged!

This was a fun read, Buttons, I'm so glad you are in a bloggy-frame of mind today!

Count me in! I'm all over the place with ideas and want to dos!!! There are so many things to create and not enough time...if you know what I mean. Have to say, I chuckle when someone wants three identical dichroic pieces...not possible...could be close but... That's the fun of it.
