Away and back...

Long time between posts!!! We were planning for and going on an adventure and I'm not telling you where we went!!!! You have to guess by my picture clues. A right answer gets a 15% discount when you shop in All About The Buttons .
Here are the first 2 photos and an answer like "the beach" is not acceptable! More pix and clues will follow if no one gets it now.
Sorry, JoJo, but I have to eliminate a guess from you because I think you know!

The boys are home....

We made it! I'm not going to say it was all peaches and cream but it was mostly wonderful. They are very active, very scheduled and it was a complete turn around to our laid back, relaxing life style. I barely had time to read the newspaper (did I miss anything?) and had to squeeze in showers at odd times but we created many memories and established deeper connections. The parents' flights were uneventful (not like their departures) and they arrived home on time, though exhausted. We spent the better part of the next day cleaning. Should I describe the condition of the bathroom used by 2 little boys?...nah! But all is pretty much back to 'our' usual. I wouldn't have traded it for the world. After all, that's why we moved here.
How can you get upset with faces like these?!...

NOT GUILTY!!!!

Over 2 years ago I knit myself.....are you ready?.....a coat! Now why would I even think of that living in South Carolina, you ask? Well, it does get cold here (now about 32) but really, a coat?! Never wore it,never. I finally decided to rip it out, ball up the yarn and knit myself a button up vest. I started it in August (2008) but never finished, primarily because I was knitting for etsy and other places I sell. Flash forward to Saturday and I realized that etsy and the other sites were pretty full, the store had enough merchandise and I had NOTHING to knit. Ahhhh, the vest. Well, I finished it yesterday and felt guilty for taking time to make something for myself. After a serious smack upside my head, I got over it! I'm not feeling guilty. I am pretty pleased with the results and especially love the handmade ceramic buttons. The picture isn't the greatest but I wanted to share.
I don't feel guilty.
