A Challenge!

SewDelish has a challenge on her blog to step out of your comfort zone and try something different. I did! I am a knitter and a fairly experienced one. I have always had trouble figuring out crocheting directions. I can do the stitches but get lost easily! Well, I finally tried to do something from beginning to end. Admittedly, it's pretty simple but I am thrilled with myself and the finished product. Here are 2 examples that I have put in the shop. They have achieved great comments and praise. Hopefully sales will follow. Otherwise, look out buddies-you're getting a set! These are being offered in sets of four but I have more of the blue/lilac yarn so I can increase it to 6. Special custom color requests are welcome. Don't you need a cutlery envelope???
Something different for your table and something crocheted by me!

That is adorable and don't say it was easy!! :) I attempted my first crochet class last month (I blogged about it) and I came home with a sad little lopsided sample piece. Crocheting and knitting are such amazing skills.

I'm just the opposite -- I love to crochet, but I can't figure out knitting to save my life!

So happy you are in the Photo Challenge. Can't wait to see your space and get to know you better. I teach a group at my church how to crochet. They must be 10 to join and we make items for the elderly, for wedding and baby showers and for missionaries. It is called Servants Unseen and based on Proverbs 31:10-31. I have an amazing time with them.
Thank you for your order and we will get that right out to you.
